[Racket] Chris Evert was one of the top female tennis players in the 1970s and 1980s. Her silent and determined attitude -- along with her steady baseline playing style -- made her an extremely successful competitor. She won more than 100 titles.

Evert ultimately won over $1 million playing tennis and the Sports Woman of the Year Award in 1976 -- the first woman to accomplish either goal. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995.
