[Car] Curb Motorsports constructed this Pontiac to compete in the 1984 series of Grand National races sanctioned by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). On July 4, 1984, Richard Petty drove the car, bearing his traditional number 43, to first place in the Firecracker 400 race at Daytona Beach, Florida. This finish gave Petty his 200th Grand National victory, an unmatched achievement.

The car is in the same condition it was in for the event in which it last ran--the Talladega 500 on July 29, 1984.
