Lincoln's Hat

A chair said to have been used by Abraham Lincoln during cabinet meetings was donated to the Smithsonian by Elwood Middleton, whose great-grandfather, Charles Middleton, reportedly accompanied Lincoln to the Mall for shooting practice. It now resides in the National Museum of American History's political-history collection, with Lincoln's hat and shawl.
