Many various styles of moccasins and other footwear were put on display at the 1994 opening of the National Museum of the American Indian George Gustav Heye Center in New York City. These shown are from several different materials, including; deer or elk hide, beads, porcupine quills, corn husks all have been utilized to make things functional and beautiful for both everday life and ceremony.
