B-29 Cockpit

The cockpit of Boeing Superfortress Enola Gay, which dropped the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945. Bombadier Thomas Ferebee used the Norden bombsight (center), a mechanical analog computer, to help him determine the exact moment the bomb needed to be released to hit its target.
