The whole subject of Implements of War is undisplayed as yet, save casually, here and there, as, for instance, the cases of Indian shields; the screens of South Sea island clubs and spears; the collection of bows, arrows and
war clubs forming a part of the Archaeological series; or the guns and swords to be seen among the Historical Relics, many of which are splendid examples of their kind. In the next edition of the Handbook this department will
no doubt receive large attention.
